Plumbing Help for West View Homes
West View is a compact borough of older homes on narrow lots. It also gives its name to the West View Water Authority, formally the Municipal Authority of the Borough of West View, which serves more than 200,000 people across the region. Many houses here still have their original water service line, sewer lateral and supply pipes.
We work with a lot of customer of Chalfonte Ave and in that entire community. Usually, after a project is completed our techs love stopping off at Mandy's Pizza for lunch. Customers in this area love that every job comes with a clear price up front and our 100% satisfaction guarantee.
What West View Homeowners Need Most
Water Service Line Replacement
The pipe that carries water from the curb into your home is usually the homeowner's to replace. If yours is old galvanized or lead, or you've had a break in the yard, we install a new service line and coordinate the connection.
Drain Repair
West View's borough code requires owners to keep private sewer laterals in good repair. When a drain line cracks or sags, we find the damaged section with a camera and repair it.
Leak Repair
A small leak turns into a big water bill fast. We track down hidden leaks in walls, floors and under slabs, and repair them right the first time.

What We Find in West View Homes
Aging water service lines
Old service lines lose pressure as they corrode, and some older homes still have lead. West View Water Authority has secured grant funding to replace lead service lines. We can check your line and tell you what you have.
Dye tests 21 days before a sale
West View requires a dye test application at least 21 days before a property sells, to find stormwater tied into the sanitary sewer. Old downspout and sump connections are common, so test early.
Tired sewer laterals
Roots, offset joints and sagging sections cause repeat clogs. A camera inspection shows whether cleaning will do or whether a repair is the real fix.

What West View Customers Say
I was very nervous with the type of work being done including a vanity being installed and re-routed water lines. I’ve never had to call on a plumber for work like this including a toilet and broken flange. When all was said and done I could not be more happy with the work that was provided. It was beautifully and meticulously completed. I wouldn’t hesitate to call McNabb for my next plumbing issue! They are the best!!

West View Plumbing FAQ
Who owns the water line to my West View home?
In most cases the homeowner is responsible for the service line on their property, and the water authority maintains the main. Confirm the split at your address with West View Water Authority, then call us for the private side.
Does West View require a dye test before I sell?
Yes. The borough requires the seller to apply at least 21 days before the sale, and the test checks for stormwater connections to the sanitary sewer. If yours fails, we fix the connection.
How do I know if I have a lead service line?
Check where the pipe comes through your basement wall near the meter. Lead is dull gray, a key scratch turns it shiny silver, and a magnet won't stick. If you're not sure, we'll check it for you.
What does a visit cost?
A $79 dispatch fee, applied to your repair if you go ahead with us. You'll know the price before we start any work.
